A Mother’s Wit and Wisdom tells the story both in narrative and poetry of the life of Agnes Bailie who was born in 1907. Agnes was a country poetess who wrote hundreds of poems about everyday life in rural Ulster, about the small incidents and events which surrounded her and about her strong Christian beliefs.
With her passing in the year 2000 her daughter Evelyn, encouraged by friends has produced this DVD of some of her mothers’ favourite poems, read by various colleagues. Introduced by George Dallas, it is a moving testament in poetry to a very wonderful lady.
